Private Glassblowing Experience — Williamsburg

Step into a private Williamsburg artist’s studio, where the practice of glassblowing unfolds in an intimate, working environment. This is a rare opportunity to enter a functioning studio and experience the process as it happens—up close, unhurried, and fully guided.

You’ll work directly with a master glassblower with over 30 years of teaching experience, shaping molten glass into your own finished piece. The experience is paced to feel immersive and focused, with each step demonstrated and refined in real time.

This is not a group setting. The studio is reserved exclusively for you and your guest, allowing for a quieter, more personal atmosphere that reflects the nature of the craft itself.

About the Artist

With more than 30 years of experience teaching glassblowing, I’ve worked across a wide range of skill levels—from first-time participants to professional artists. My approach emphasizes clarity, sensitivity to the material, and an intuitive understanding of process.

In a private setting, this allows for a more thoughtful exchange—guiding each guest through the creation of a piece they’ll feel proud to take home.

What to Expect

The session begins with a brief introduction and safety orientation, followed by a demonstration of core techniques. From there, each guest will move into hands-on work, forming their own glass objects with continuous, individualized guidance.

The focus is on direct engagement with the material—heat, movement, and timing—resulting in a glassblown object documenting the experience.

All work is annealed overnight and will be available for pickup the following day.
